The days are quickly counting down to the first day of school. I love summer, and honestly, I am never quit ready for it to leave. In our crazy house, we fill our summer with swimming, golfing, sleeping in, quick family get-aways, friends, cookouts, mowing, kids working at the feedyard, and lots of fun!! The days are just a little more laid back and slower. When school starts, the alarm goes off early and we go non-stop until we fall in bed at night. This is why I love summer!!!
This summer, I have been reading and planning for my new position as K-12 Librarian/Media Specialist. I am so very excited. I am so very NERVOUS!!! But I love a new challenge and here we go....
So for now - I have my planner in hand and it's time to plan...

- how to get kids excited about reading
- library centers
- book clubs
- library events through the year
- and the list goes on
Lots to do!!! So here's to a new journey and a year of fun!!
